Laptop recycling

Laptop recycling means the reuse of (parts of) defective or old laptops and notebooks through certified disassembly, repair or donation.

When you as a company adapt your IT infrastructure, IT devices are released that will no longer be used. To dispose of broken or redundant hardware in a responsible manner is IT recycling the most sustainable option.

Laptop recycling for companies

You have come to the right place for responsible laptop recycling for companies. We collect old laptops from companies. By giving them a second life or processing them in an environmentally friendly way, we contribute to the reuse of IT devices. In addition, we can ensure secure data destruction so that privacy-sensitive data does not end up on the street. If desired, you will receive a certificate of destruction.

Recycling old company laptops is extremely important. Some written-off laptops are still usable. We may carry out repairs and offer them for reuse or donation. Are the notebooks no longer reusable? Parts and components can be. By sorting and recycling these, fewer new raw materials are needed to produce new IT equipment. This reduces CO2 emissions and is good for the future of our planet. Our laptop recycling service is suitable for:

  • Companies in all sectors
  • Profit and non-profit organizations
  • Schools and universities
  • Medical facilities
  • Data centers
  • (Local) authorities

Hand in old laptop privately

Private individuals can hand in an old laptop to the recycling center of their municipality, so that it can be separated from residual waste and processed properly. But there are also other options for a private individual:

  • When purchasing a new device, you can return a defective or old laptop to Coolblue or Mediamarkt
  • hand in an old laptop to a local charity
  • handing in an old laptop for money (this is often not possible for broken laptops)

Returning written-off laptops

There comes a time when returning written-off laptops is necessary. They typically last up to five years. After this, you run the risk of poor security and low
performance. Business laptops, designed for professional use, can sometimes last longer. The housing is of a higher quality, which makes them more durable.

Handing in laptops to a special processor is a safe and responsible choice for you as a company. We are certified in computer recycling for companies. We will schedule a pick-up appointment for this. You can of course also choose to bring old laptop/notebooks and other computer waste to us.

Delete data from old laptops

Correctly and completely deleting data from old laptops is important. Confidential data is often stored on these written-off IT devices. It is important that this data does not end up in the wrong hands. We delete the data in a specialized and secure manner. We can issue an official declaration of destruction for this. This gives you the guarantee that all company and customer data has been correctly removed from each old laptop. We do this through digital or physical destruction with special software programs and shredding machines. We also offer certified data destruction on location.

The gold in a laptop is in the circuit board. But it concerns only a very small amount of gold: about 75 grams of gold per 1000 kg of motherboards.
