How are computers recycled?

There are several ways in which computers can be recycled. If the computer is still in good working condition, reuse is applicable (after emptying the hard disk). If a PC is defective and cannot be repaired, it is taken apart. All materials are separated and can then be recycled into new raw materials.

What are old computers worth?

Whether your old computers have value depends on a number of factors. For example, a residual value only applies if the equipment is not older than 4 years and is in good working and cosmetic condition. In addition, type, color and quantity also play a role. You can request a computer valuation via the online quotation form.

What does computer recycling cost for companies?

Computer recycling prices consist of a collection rate and a processing rate, possibly supplemented with data destruction costs. For the You pay nothing for recycling computers, desktops and thin clients. In addition to computers/desktops, do you also have other IT equipment that you want to have disposed of? Additional processing fees apply for some devices. This is the case, for example, with printers and old monitors.  

Where can I hand in my old computer?

As a private individual, you can hand in an old computer at the recycling center or waste collection stations of your municipality. However, companies cannot go here. Moreover, that is unwise, because you are dealing with company data on the hard drives. For business purposes, it is therefore better to hand in old computers to a certified processor.
